Thora joined the Carbon Trust in 2019 as part of the green finance team where she leads relationship management with asset managers, asset owners and insurers.

Thora has over 15 years of experience across a number of areas both in the public and financial sectors. At Kaupthing Bank Thora took on research, treasury management and senior relationship manager roles. More recently Thora was director/chief economist at GAMMA Capital Management, an Icelandic hedge fund, were she led the development of new products for institutional investors.

In the public sector Thora worked for the UK Government as a senior economist for the Office for Budget Responsibility and served as an elected member, by the Icelandic parliament, of the Icelandic Fiscal Council. Thora holds a master’s degree in Economics from University College London.
