Martin is responsible for leading Carbon Trust’s management systems work, providing clients with certification auditing, training and support in line with the ISO 14001 (environmental), ISO 50001 (energy) and ISO 20121 (event sustainability) management system standards. Martin is also a Carbon Trust Standard assessor and conducts organisational and product carbon footprint assessments.

In over a decade’s experience working in environmental management, Martin has worked with a wide range of clients, including multiple FTSE 250 and other leading companies, across a variety of sectors including education, transport, energy, finance, professional and technical services, wholesale and retail, leisure and hospitality, and metal, plastic, textile and other manufacturing.

Outside of the Carbon Trust Martin sits on the UK’s national technical committee for the development of environmental management system standards, including ISO 14001. He holds a BSc in Environmental Management, is a Chartered Environmentalist and full member of the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment.
