Azminah is primarily responsible for delivering the PREO (Powering Renewable Energy Opportunities) programme; PREO aims to accelerate the uptake of the productive use of energy in sub-Saharan Africa, and grow rural economies and create jobs in doing so. She also manages African Led Partnership projects within the UK aid funded TEA (Transforming Energy Access) programme.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Azminah worked as a project manager at a solar power company that developed large scale solar plants across Southern Africa. 

Azminah holds a MSc in Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of York, UK as well as a BSc (Honours) in Geography from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.
