Alex is a Renewable Energy Consultant within the Cities and Regions team. Passionate about renewables, Alex has 25 years’ direct experience across the electricity industry, specialising in the management of operational renewable generating stations. Alex has managed landfill gas, biomass and rooftop solar generation plants, and delivered onshore wind management services to clients such as IKEA, where her management skill achieved the highest operational audit score in IKEA’s European onshore wind portfolio.

At Savills (UK) Ltd, Alex extended her experience to creating management frameworks for renewable plants integrated into built environments, specifically commercial property, heat networks, rooftop solar PV and Electric Vehicle charging points. During the development, construction and operational phases of major developments such as Battersea Power Station and Borough Yards, Alex advised on practical solutions to realise energy designs, ensure their commercial viability and transparent operation.

Projects at Carbon Trust include managing the development of renewable generation and advising on best-practice operational management. Alex was a project manager for the Welsh Government’s Renewable Energy Developer programme, establishing the early-stage feasibility of onshore wind farms prior to the set-up of state-owned developer, Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru.
