John Kazer
John has been a consultant at the Carbon Trust for 15 years. He specialises in product-oriented carbon footprinting, assurance and communication. Previously he was a software engineer and has a PhD in artificial intelligence. Much of his current work involves creating standards, data systems and processing infrastructure to provide scale, consistency and traceability to product footprinting.
Agriculture and food supply chains have been the focus for a majority of John’s many carbon footprint projects. He has also been involved in writing and reviewing agriculture-related standards for DairyUK, FAO LEAP and the Climate Bonds Initiative. More generally, he has been on technical working groups for ISO standards (14064, 14067, 14068 and 14060) and the GHG Protocol (Land Sector and Removal Guidance, Action and Markets Instruments).
