George is an experienced senior manager in the Carbon Trust's Energy Transition team, where he leads projects aimed at better integrating new renewable energy sources, phasing out fossil fuel generation, and driving low-carbon innovation both in the UK and globally. With a wealth of experience in strategic and technical projects, George has developed system solutions and financial models, undertaken market analysis and data analytics, and development business models and investment cases for low-carbon solutions. As a recognised thought leader on the coal transition, George leads much of the Carbon Trust's efforts in this critical area.

George holds a BA(Hons) degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Manchester and is a qualified economics teacher from the Institute of Education, University College London. Additionally, George is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA CGMA), bringing strong business and financial acumen to his role.
