The aim for the session was to provide a UK perspective on the growth and development of the green finance sector around the world looking at topics including green bonds, energy efficiency, renewable energy, plastic waste, regulation and policy. The session was attended by HSBC, Barclays, the City of London Corporation, the Green Finance Initiative, the Environment Agency and the Carbon Trust.
The Carbon Trust hosted Yeo Bee Yin, Malaysia’s Minister of Energy, Technology, Science, Environment and Climate Change, for a meeting with some of the UK’s leading green finance experts as part of her visit to the country.
