Michael has been at the Carbon Trust since its inception in 2002 and had a vital role in building the organisation, as well as designing and launching our work with businesses and the public sector. He then led our policy and innovation team on areas including energy efficiency, offshore wind, fuel cells and emissions trading.
As Chief Operating Officer since 2007, Michael has overseen significant changes to the Carbon Trust, including moving to a self-funded business model. He also led our expansion into new markets, establishing offices in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa, growing the business to over 400 employees globally.
One of the key priorities in his new role will be to spearhead a strategic review, ensuring the Carbon Trust continues to deliver increased impact in an ever-evolving landscape for driving climate action.
