Kate is the Just and Inclusive Transitions lead at the Carbon Trust, and a Senior Manager within the Programmes and Innovation team. She has more than 13 years’ experience across consulting, financial advisory, and research, and has been working in low carbon energy for development since 2016. Kate’s sector experience includes sustainable finance, policy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy access, coal transition, and e-mobility, and she has delivered of a range of international climate mitigation projects and programmes for public and private sector clients across Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Latin America. As a Senior Manager in the Carbon Trust’s Asia and Africa strategy team, Kate’s role has had a strong focus on strategy building, project design, and business development.
Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Kate worked at the Environment Department at United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in Vienna, at an environmental consultancy in Indonesia as well as a financial analyst for a global wind farm developer headquartered in Australia. Kate has an MA in Environmental Management and Development from the Crawford School of Public Policy (Distinction, & University Medal) and a Bachelor of Commerce (International Business & Finance), both from the Australian National University, where she has also worked as a researcher on climate policy.
