Carlos is a Sustainable Finance Manager with over 13 years of experience dedicated to advancing energy-efficient and sustainable housing financing programs in the Latin America region, garnering essential support and financing from multilateral and national development banks. His influence extends across various housing and financing forums, both local and international, establishing him as a pivotal advocate for sustainable financing practices.
Carlos has worked on projects with organizations including the German Cooperation Agency GIZ, German Development Bank KfW, Inter-American Development Bank, UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, French Development Agency, among others, with impact in countries such as Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
Carlos earned a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources Economics from The University of Queensland (Australia) and a Technical specialization in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy from the Hochschule Wismar: University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design (Germany). He also possesses a B.A. in Economics from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and a B.S. in Actuarial Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He participated in international trainings on sustainability topics in the USA, Germany, and Costa Rica.
