Bethany Cockshutt
Senior Associate
Bethany is a Senior Associate in the Business Services team, providing organisational, product, and value chain footprinting as well as providing product carbon footprint, model and complex assurance services. She is also a technical lead within the agricultural team with a focus on land-use change and soil carbon sequestration. She has worked with many organisations developing Science-based Targets (SBTi) setting both near-term and long-term Net Zero targets (with a specialism in FLAG). She has worked with numerous clients setting them net zero decarbonisation roadmaps.
As well as providing consultancy advice, Bethany has worked on several assurance projects including product footprint assurance, model certification and organisational and complex footprint assurance. She is the product carbon footprinting knowledge management Assurance Lead within the Carbon Trust.
She has experience working in the packaging, food and drink, and agricultural sectors. Bethany has presented at several conferences, and events and taken part in panels, relating to regenerative agriculture, FLAG, waste, and packaging. Examples include the Economist Summit and ESS Expo Waste Summit. Bethany has also written articles on regenerative agriculture.
Before the Carbon Trust, Bethany completed a MSc in Climate Change: Environment, Science and Policy from King's College London, focusing on afforestation and other nature-based solutions.
