Scanning LiDAR has the potential to accurately measure wind at long ranges. As such, scanning LiDAR has been identified as a technology that may be capable of providing developers with three dimensional measurements of the spatial variability in wind resource.

The Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) ran two landmark measurement campaigns resulting in the demonstration of scanning LiDAR systems operating in single and dual Doppler at ranges up to 15km. This report details the methodology, analysis and outcomes of the demonstration.
