This report finds that widespread use of advanced metering by SMEs can provide cost-effective carbon savings for the UK and significant cost savings for SMEs. The Carbon Trust's field trial has demonstrated the potential benefits, identified key barriers and clarified the action required by the SME community, Government and energy suppliers to accelerate the market.

The report will be of interest to energy managers, SMEs and related trade bodies, key players in the metering and energy consultancy market and those involved with energy related policy.
