Call for proposals from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study to understand and mitigate offshore wind farm risk concerning SSO during the development and design stage of a project, as well as during the project execution to confirm grid code compliance.
The main objectives of this work are to establish the key points below.
- a. Determine scenarios where the system will be more susceptible to SSO events.
- b. Develop the best practice guidelines to study SSO and develop suitable mitigation methods for offshore wind farms (both AC & HVDC connected).
- c. Identify the data/model requirement for study SSO with responsible stakeholders of this data/model.
- d. Identify the best possible parties to conduct the SSO studies and role of each party (WF developer, OEMs, TSO and study consultants etc.)
- e. Provide more availability and transparency of the TSO network model and OEM control models.
- f. Improve the TSO network model with developer insights.
