What's next for Scope 3

Audience: Senior corporate sustainability professionals

Description: Against a backdrop of uncertainty on Scope 3, this event will provide an opportunity to learn from experts from the Carbon Trust, including Managing Director for Business Advisory, Hugh Jones, The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)’s Climate Action Director, Jenny Kwan, and corporate sustainability leaders. Discussion will focus on what's next for Scope 3, including research on the barriers businesses are facing, and the tactics and tools leading businesses are deploying to overcome them and successfully support suppliers at scale. Participants will also discover 'The Climate Drive', an open digital platform powered by WBCSD, providing free, high-quality and actionable resources to support business climate action at scale.

Navigating the Net Zero transition for cities and regions: webinar series

Audience: This webinar is most suitable for people involved in planning and/or delivering Net Zero projects at the local level, particularly in public sector organisations working on place-based energy projects.

Description: This four part webinar series offers insights and actionable steps for cities and regions to accelerate their journey towards Net Zero. Many of the critical actions needed to deliver Net Zero are local, and cities and regions are uniquely placed to facilitate and support delivery. This webinar series, led by the Carbon Trust specialists, focuses on practical aspects for progressing decarbonisation towards Net Zero. We will highlight the pivotal role cities and regions play in turning ambition in to implementation. Participants will learn how to transition from long term goals to clearly defined priority actions, with insights on planning and executing Net Zero initiatives effectively. The webinars will also explore strategies for local authorities and other public bodies to engage stakeholders, including commercial and investment partners, how to manage risks, and to deliver Net Zero programmes with widespread support that provide tangible local benefits.
