The session will give board members the knowledge to effectively engage with senior leadership on climate risk resilience, and how to report under TCFD.
This workshop will show you how to identify climate impacts and develop scenarios that illustrate potential risks and opportunities, translating these into changes in company value and cash flow. Using worked examples, experts from the Carbon Trust will cover how you can assess climate related impacts for your company by building a dynamic framework to capture the opportunities and risks in the transition to a sustainable, low carbon economy.
There will also be the opportunity to network with fellow non-executive directors on these issues, as well as the chance to pose any questions to the Carbon Trust experts.
Please note this event is for non-executive directors only. Due to the interactive nature of the event there is a limit to the number of participants we can host at the session.
This session is in partnership with Chapter Zero: The Directors' Climate Forum.
Chapter Zero is a special network for non-executive directors committed to developing their knowledge of the implications of climate change for UK business. Given the far-reaching impact and implications, our purpose is to enable these directors to better understand how it is likely to affect their companies and sectors, and to encourage their boards to hold informed and strategic discussions and respond effectively to the climate change challenge. The name of the network, Chapter Zero, reflects the drive towards a net zero carbon economy and the major role business will play in achieving it.
