Milena is an experienced general counsel with nearly 20 years of legal experience from both private practice and in-house and with specialisms in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, and intellectual property.

At the Carbon Trust, Milena leads the in-house legal team, which is responsible for advising on, and helping to manage, legal risks in the context of the various Carbon Trust activities. Milena is also the Company Secretary of the Carbon Trust and advises the Board on corporate governance and related matters.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Milena worked in a number of international law firms and led the in-house legal team at a global top ten university.

Milena has a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and post-graduate qualifications in law and legal practice from BPP Law School (London).
